It is very important to talk to your kids about sexting.  For a minor, they can be charged with child pornography for forwarding a pic.  Check out what happed to a 8th grader,her family, and her school.

How to Talk To Your Kids about Sex

The Truth About Sex series is going to begin in Escape tomorrow March 2 (remember your student needs to bring their parent permission slip with them)

Our goal with this series to help students to see God's plan for sex.  We also are trying to help you with the responsibility of telling them the Truth About Sex.

I know this can be a very difficult and uncomfortable thing to talk to your kids about sex.  But as a parent that is your job. I came across this article on theresurgence.com.  I hope this article helps you talk to your kids about sex.  I'll be praying for you as you talk to your kids about sex and I would ask for you to please pray for us as we also discuss this topic with them.

Teen Role Models

Who is your teens role model? (Okay, besides you!)   The answer may surprise you. Check out this research study done by the Barna Group on Teen Role Models.  Now ask yourself again who do you thing your teens role model is?  Or better yet ask them who is their role model.

The Truth About Sex Series

Each year we do a series on Sexuality/Relationship.  One of the reasons we do this is because this is one of the major issues that youth (and adults) are face with daily.

This year we will be going through this series, The Truth about Sex
in Escape March 2-23
in Haven March 13 & 20 and April 3 & 10

We will be having a parent meeting about this series February 16 from 8-8:30p.

This is a 4 week series.
Week 1 The Truth About Sex
Week 2 The Truth About Guys & Girls
Week 3 The Truth About Boundaries
Week 4 The Truth About Forgiveness

This series has a DVD to watch for each session.  In this DVD it has real stories from real people. It also has teaching from Doug Fields.  Along with watching these DVDs we will dig deeper into each topic.
